Hit The North Festival 2020 Preview

Hit the North returns to Newcastle on Sunday 3rd May 2020 for the fourth and biggest year for the city’s biggest inter-city festival, spanning across multiple venues with hundreds of the best up and coming acts from across the country for one incredible day.

With previous years including the likes of Slaves, The Hunna and Jake Bugg gracing such venues such as o2 Academy, Boiler Shop and Riverside, this year boasts DMA’s and The Amazons as headliners with the likes of The Magic Gang, Grace Carter and Fickle Friends joining the stellar line-up, along with up-and-coming stars Lauran Hibberd, Alfie Templeman, Larkins and The Lathums.

Speaking about the upcoming festival, Hit The North Director Steve Davis said:

“It feels great to be back! In a region where continuous cuts are being made to cultural projects, Hit the North is a vital platform for connecting emerging acts with new music fans, and also showcases Newcastle’s richness as a musical city in terms of its venues and home-grown artists.”

With stage splits and venues being announced within the coming months, this year’s Hit The North Festival is set to be the biggest one yet.
